I've been in a long distance relationship with my girlfriend who lives in Japan for about two years now and we've been having alot of trouble lately. I'm trying to do everything i can to be with her in reality as soon as possible but in the meantime i want to find ways to become or to feel closer together. We started talking just by email, then we began talking with instant messages, then we started to talk with each other over the phone, Also we've been sending gifts and pictures of ourselves frequently but she is so busy now and we're starting to grow more and more distant, I've been trying to think of new ways to communicate or to feel closer, maybe a web camera would be good for another step... but does anyone else have any ideas?

Since it's a "long distance relationship", you have to admit it's problematic 2 communicate close & uninterrupted.. Is it possible for any of u 2 meet eye-to-eye once, let's say, half a year? If u are planning 2 be together later on, then u have 2 think about the place you'll be living - US or Japan or whatever... If not, then talking over the phone is a most optimal way out, to my mind, though it may be expensive... I know from my personal experience that a long distance communication even with the close and dear person becomes infrequent with the time, and may even cease.You have to decide for yourself what is major and prior 2 u. Are u satisfied with the emails and phone calls or u want something more serious? If the two people love each other, almost nothing can prevent them from being together. If the long distance is the only problem between u - it's not worth worring about. U should take steps to get closer to each other! Responded: Guest   This is a toughie, but listen your a man and sometimes men can't help their emotions. This might be too flat out but it might not work. Is it definit she's coming to the u.s to be with u later on or are you going there? First tell yourself if your willing to wait this long for someone who might take a long time. My dad got remarried in his country which is Iran and it's been 5 years this summer and he's still trying to get her here.   But if you can see yourself married to this person then you should wait a while and stay with them. Make sure this is not a waste of time! Responded: emo   If she really busy, you should understand her. When their is work or school issue, there will be less time to be with the one you love. If you love her, you should understand her and wait for her to get done with her work. No matter what she will give time for you two to have your relationship going and be close to each other. I don't really know, but this is my opinion. I have the same relationship like you. But I understnad my boyfriend and wait for him.
