Nowadays it's quite a common thing. I think it's a kind of test to try one's patience and see if the feelings are really strong. Why should we register our relations if we are not sure of the tomorrow? To know a person at least a little you have to spend years together, and sometimes even with the time you may be dumbfounded by an unpleasant discovery.. I think it acceptable when the two people trust each other an don't restrict each other's freedom. I guess the marriage is necessary when you are planning to have a baby. If not-why these unwanted liabilities? I'm a "civil married" person and feel fine. At least I may leave him any time if I think it necessary. No divorce, no stress, no property problems  - nothing! Just think: people call it marriage despite everything - there's something in it anyway, isn't there?..

My dear miss grace where you actually from and what sort of culture have you been raised up. i'm in uk & ur idea applies here. but it's not as easy as you think it is. these people live together in a society where they don't hide to anybody. but, separation-wise after they learned they are not "compatible" after all, the have loads of properties, children infact to tackle & settle down. you probably is simply a mistress, no plan to settle down really so you are happy out there. probably you have a plan of leaving your man anytime you like.you are immature, no stability in life.no self-trust.dont get into a relationship if you know it's going nowhere.a baby is not the req't for marriage. what if you sre fertile?yes you can have many lads as you like.it's awful! think about it!ok? I stress the opportunity to get know each other in different situations, which you are unable to do when just dating each other! Waht about feelings? What do you think, if the two people live together - they are indifferent to each other? Not at all... This matter can wait.. There are lots of examples of people hurriyng to get married after 2 or 3 months of knowing each other - and what do they get? A divorce, most likely. 'cause feelings don't last long, you have to learn to live with a person, to get used to his (her) disadvantages, character, etc.. It's my opinion, and i think it's not wrong at all. Responded: GraceK
